Lauren is a Brooklyn-based playwright and producer from Dedham, Massachusetts.

She is currently a Resident Artist at The Cell Theatre.

She is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Princess Grace Award in Playwriting/New Dramatists Residency. Her play, Zeus 4, was nominated to the Venturous Play List 2025-2027 by Misha Chowdhury. It was also long-listed for the Theater503 International Playwriting Award.

In 2023, Lauren adapted Olga Ravn’s award-winning sci-fi novel The Employees with director Jacklyn Biskup for a production at Theaterlab.

Her work has been developed at Nantucket Performing Arts Center, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center and The Brick’s Quick + Dirty. She was awarded a 2024 Woodward Residency. Lauren’s been a finalist for the Bushwick Starr Reading Series and the Risk Theatre Prize, as well as a semi-finalist for the O’Neill, the Playwrights Realm Writing Fellowship, the Terrence McNally Fellowship, The Next Forever Residency, The Civilians R&D Lab, and WP Lab.

Playwriting is Lauren’s second (third? fourth?) career. She has worked on political campaigns, in the private sector, and for the United Nations in Italy and New York. She draws on these experiences to write dark, comic plays about work, class, families of happenstance, and seekers of hidden knowledge. They’re grounded in realism, but full of ghosts, invisible dogs, aliens, and other spirits.

She’s one-fifth of The Omnivores producing collective.
